April 20: In a Competition first, the Menuhin Competition has awarded the Junior First Prize to two violinists - 10-year-old Australian Christian Li, who is the youngest ever winner of the Competition, and 11-year-old Chloe Chua from Singapore. In third place was 13-year-old Ruibing Liu from China, with Clara Shen (12, Germany) in fourth, Hina Khuong-Huu (13, USA/Japan/France) in fifth and Guido Sant'Anna (12, Brazil) in sixth. The audience watching live on ARTE concert were encouraged to vote for their favourite Junior participant to be awarded the ARTE Concert Online Prize which went to Guido Sant'Anna, and the Audience Prize went to Christian Li.
Tonight the Senior Finals take place at Victoria Hall in Geneva where the four Senior finalists perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Julian Rachlin, competing to be the Senior First Prizewinner of the Menuhin Competition.
Both Christian Li and Chloe Chua will perform alongside the Senior Competition winner at the Closing Gala Concert on Sunday 22 April with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Julian Rachlin at Victoria Hall in Geneva.
1st Prize – Christian Li, 10 - Australia and Chloe Chua, 11 - Singapore

4th Prize – Clara Shen, 12 - Germany
5th Prize – Hina Khuong-Huu, 13 - USA/Japan/France
