The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) invites emerging conductors to apply for the position of Assistant Conductor. The successful applicant will work with MISO's Music Director, Maestro Eduardo Marturet, and guest conductors, observing rehearsals, acting as a potential cover conductor, and conducting the MISO's Educational and Outreach activities. This position is a 1-year appointment with the option for a 1-year extension.
The Assistant Conductor is required to attend all staff and production meetings, assist in the communication of the Music Director's needs, and work with the operations team on fulfilling the artistic requirements for any given production (running supertitles or other visual elements that require score reading).
