The London-based impresario Victor Hochhauser CBE has died aged 95. His career began in 1945 when he promoted a concert in the Royal Albert Hall. His focus was on classical music and ballet, and he was especially associated with bringing to London Russian artists such as Oistrakh, Richter, Rostropovich and Shostakovich.

Victor Hochhauser was born on 27 March 1923 in KoŇ°ice, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia) and he died on 21 March 2019.
