The World Childhood Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a concert in the presence of Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
The concert in the Gothenburg Concert Hall, Sweden, on 11 September is part of the World Childhood Foundation’s 20th anniversary and the gala event is in support of the foundation’s work for children at risk. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra with Swedish mezzo soprano Katarina Karnéus as soloist, and host for the evening is Maria Möller. Västra Götaland’s Youth Orchestra and the fugitive formed Dream Orchestra also make appearances. Tickets are available now for all who want to support Childhood’s work.
The World Childhood Foundation works to prevent violence and sexual abuse of children and supports local projects both in Sweden and abroad. The vision is that all children should have a safe and loving childhood free from violence and exploitation. Since Her Majesty Queen Silvia founded Childhood in 1999, over one thousand projects have been supported in Sweden and around the world. The goal for our investments is to provide as much long-term, sustainable change for children as possible. https://childhood.org
